In a 5-4 vote last Friday, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states. In response to this decision, CTV posted a statement on our website. As the results of this decision begin to unfold, we promise to continue being a positive voice for your traditional values. With that, we will update you with valuable information so you will remain up-to-date. Below, are two excerpts from resources that highlight the effects of this ruling.

Justice John Roberts has been very candid with his disagreement of the Supreme Court’s decision. In an article written by The Federalist, Roberts is quoted saying “The truth is that today’s decision rests on nothing more than the majority’s own conviction that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry because they want to, and that “it would disparage their choices and diminish their personhood to deny them this right.” Whatever force that belief may have as a matter of moral philosophy, it has no more basis in the Constitution than did the naked policy preferences adopted in Lochner”  To read the full article on some of Justice John Robert’s dissenting remarks, click here.
